Who is this... this... thing?

So there I was...

I'm Chowlb, that's the only name you need to know right now. I'm sure the internet has a lot of dirt on me somehow. Between all the social sites and having a website, you can probably find out a lot about me. I'll summarize.

I'm not a writer, or a journalist. My spelling is terrible and my grammar is even worse. This is sad due to the fact my Father is an English major. Besides us two, the rest of the family is involved with some type of healthcare; i.e. nurses and physical therapists. I decided to go the route of geekdom and pursued a Bachelor's in Computer Science. On to bigger and better things, finally achieved my Master's degree in Information Assurance. I have a day job, but just like everyone else I have other dreams. I love technology, when it comes to computers and gadgetry, I'm a complete 4 year old. I usually drool and stare a lot. Computers make up a majority of my life. Other than my day job I dabble in the art of web design (obviously). Can't say I'm very good at it, but I get more into the whole programming side of things. PHP has changed my life :)

My biggest goal in life was to be a musician. I played bass for a loooong time in a hardcore band. We traveled the East Coast and spent lots and lots of money to play our music. We didn't care to be famous or make money, we loved seeing kids at shows and watching them dance to music that we created together. Unfortunately I had to move for work and we all decided to split up. It was heartbreaking for me and I miss it dearly. I miss my band mates the most, when I head home we always try to see each other (one's my brother, so I don't have a choice). In lieu of hardcore and being a bassist, I picked up guitar. A friend and I have a little acoustic side project we call Mayfield Experiment (www.myspace.com/mayfieldexperiment). We play around town at the local open mics and have a fascination with recording (back to the drooling thing). So in some ways I'm still trying to live out this dream, but it sure is a blasty!

The one constant in my life is my wifey. We went to high school together and played in the band, yes the marching band (geekdom). I always had a thing for her even though I had other girlfriends in my life. After a couple of rejections and 6 years later she finally gave me a chance. Now we're married. I can honestly say that everyone you meet that tells you how bad married life is, didn't marry their best friend. There's nothing like coming home to your best friend and your wife. Someone you love dearly, can't live without, can't eat without, can't enjoy life without. She is truly a blessing in disguise. This is the one dream that came true :) I know I'm sappy, but it's a sappy subject and it deserves no less. I reference her often in my posts because she is such a big part of my life. We've both had a lot of life changing events happen in great succession, but now things are on the down turn and life is good. We own a house, we have new cars, we have a crazy cat, and an ever-loving careless puppy (not a puppy, but she always will be to us). Not to brag or sound conceited, but I'm very happy with our life, we are very fortunate. Often times I feel sorry for my wife because I'm a terrible, terrible romantic and my personality can be annoying most of the time. Somehow, thank God, she puts up with me and I love her for it.

Last paragraph I swear:
I am a Christian. I believe the Lord Jesus Christ died for my sins. I believe He is my Savior and I thank him for taking pity on me. Without regret or despair, He hung on the cross so that we can be free. If you stop to think about it, it is a wonderful feeling. He is the source of all my glory, all of my good days, all of my bad days, all of my joys and fears, the teacher and the author. He is everything. I'm not above anyone because I am a Christian, but it is my duty as a Christian to tell the world of the love that Jesus has shown me. I'm very sorry if you disagree with any of this. I will gladly answer any emails anyone may have, or if you just want to share your experience as a Christian. Again, I'm not playing Holier Than Thou, just thankful.

Ok I lied... I hope that you find this site entertaining. There's no rhyme or reason to the madness. There is no structure. Most times there is very little thought poured into these 'blogs.' You don't have to be a member to read, but if you want your opinionated opinions to be heard, please feel free to sign up. Happy reading. If you have trouble reading.. you can google anything these days.. and congratulations on getting this far :)
