All about the experience:

Now don't get me wrong.  I'm all for the "gaming experience" led by games such as Guitar Hero 1-8 and Rock Band.  I'm a Rock Band junkie to say the least, so much so, that my original Rock Band guitar controller has taken a southern route.  Amidst a heavy online battle with some poor chap all of my "upstrokes" were suddenly failing.  Distraught I switched to super rock mode and finished my challenge using the "forearm only" method (no comments please).  Upon further examination and testing I have concluded that my guitar controller is most definitely shot.  This leads me to the reasoning of this post.

Realizing that without my guitar controller, I would most definitely be out of the whole Rock Band experience.  Now sure I have the drums to fall back on but I've already mastered the drums.. the guitar is my new weapon of choice. In desperation I turn to BestBuy.com for instant gratification to pilfer through the numerous guitar controller rip offs and ugly sisters.  Then I stumbled upon this gem - Rock Band Stage Kit.  Back to the title... I'm all for the experience of feeling like I'm on stage rocking along with a crappy cover band fumbling through Bon Jovi's Dead or Alive, but this takes the cake.  "Hey bro, you wanna hang after school and play some Rock Band? I got this killer stage kit with a fog machine and lights. It'll be boss!"  Upon further examination if you notice.. THIS THING IS $100 FREAKIN BUCKS!  For a fog machine and a light bright for a video game you play in your living room! You can just see the headlines now, "Two high school students found dead in their bedrooms from asphyxiation due to a fog machine and epileptic seizures.  Way to go guys.. way to go.  I wish I could have been a fly on the wall during that innovation meeting.  Please.. let me wake up any day now.

Does this thing come with another USB hub?  I'm out of ports.
