Far From Easy:

Just realized that it is in fact December 1st.  Only twenty-four days left until the big day!  I have a lot of shopping to get finished up and even more to start wrapping.  I suck terribly at wrapping gifts.  All the wife and I are really asking for is a carpet steam cleaner.  The puppy has taken her way with the poor carpet.  It's really odd to step back and think about life. We had dinner with the family on Saturday night and my brother and I had a chance to tell stories from a long time ago.  It was nice to reminisce, but then you start to think about where you are now.  A lot of people think that after you get married and/or have children, that life is now transitioned to the downward slope of things.  I don't find that very true.  I'm happily married, my brother is happily married, they have a beautiful little baby boy.  We all get along great with our parents and even our in-laws are great.  I would have to say that life is crazy good right now and we're all having experiences that ever sweetens our existence on this earth.  I look forward to coming home from work and seeing my wife.  I look forward to playing music every chance I get.  I have to disagree with those that find depression in growing up.  Yes childhood is sweet, I miss being able to breathe after running three or four yards, but I hope you get my point.  Look at it this way.. if I really wanted to... I could buy all the Legos I want.
