Just one of those weeks.  Feeling like you're stuck in a rut and things just are not jiving for you, God only knows why.  But then you take a step back, breathe deep, and look at everything you have.  Friends, Family, beautiful wonderful wife, spastic dog, spastic cat, house, cars, jobs, your health and you start to be humbled.  Maybe it's God's way of letting you know that you're still human.  I'll always always always make mistakes, I'll always piss people off, I will fail at times, and I can't remember things to save my life.  Sometimes we get so caught up in life we forget to live it.

The world is moving at an alarming rate.  People can't function without cell phones, email, facespace, mybook, tweets, and toots.  Everyone is connected somehow in the social interweb and people even take great offense to not being a "top friend" or that you didn't post a sparkly glittery butterfly that say's I hope you have a wonderful secretary's day at the office.  You begin to think... is the social media fiasco really keeping us in touch or is it hurting our real relationships.  Don't get me wrong, those social media sites are great and are extremely entertaining if used properly.  I'm not against any of it, I just think sometimes we need to take a break and focus on the things and people around us.

People can't even sit through a dinner without checking their work email, or even talking on a cellphone WHILE eating dinner.  I'm guilty... guilty as charged.  Here recently we're turning a new leaf.  The end of the rut is near, and I'm feeling great.  The wife and I are starting to bike ride EVERY DAY and it's great to be outside and exercising and being with the one you love.  The hardest part for me is not centering my day around food.... yeah that's extremely hard for me, but I'm determined to get in a shape other than round.  I want to be confident, I want to be healthy, and I want to feel good about myself and life.  I think I owe it to the wife to have a good looking man to hang off of.   I'll be that man.

They say it's always darkest before dawn,  I'm done with my negative attitude. The sun is shining, let's get today started.

Take a step back, look at what you've become and are becoming, and be thankful for all that God has allowed you to have and to be.  He is in control and don't ever forget that.  Tell your wife you love her, tell your husband you love him, tell your kids, your mom and dad, just tell your friends.  Let them know you're thankful and that they make you a better person because they're in your life.

Harmz, I love you and thank you.   You make me a better person.
